Who we are

Picknames (picknames.app) is run by Collapse LLC, Arlington, Texas, United States ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@picknames.app.

Using Picknames

  • Picknames lets groups draw names for a gift exchange and lets anyone make and share a wishlist. There's no account and no charge.
  • You need to be at least 13 to use Picknames yourself. A parent or guardian can add a younger child to a room for them.
  • Use it for its purpose: running gift exchanges and sharing gift ideas. Don't use it to break the law, to harass anyone, or to share anything you don't have the right to share.
  • Don't try to break, overload, scrape or get around the limits of the service, or to read rooms and wishlists you weren't given a link to.

Rooms, links and codes

Anyone with a room's join code can join it while it's open, and anyone with a wishlist's address can view it. Rejoin links and wishlist edit links work like keys: whoever has one can act as you in that room or edit that list. Keep them to yourself. We can't tell who is holding a link, so we can't undo what someone does with one.

What you add

You're responsible for what you put on Picknames: names, room answers, wishlist items, notes, links and photos. You keep any rights you have in it. You let us store and show it to the people you share it with, so the service can work. We may remove anything that breaks these terms or the law. Our privacy policy explains what we keep and for how long.

Shopping links and ads

Wishlists link to other stores. We don't sell anything, we don't choose the items, and we aren't responsible for those stores, their prices, their products or their delivery. Some links earn us a commission, as explained in our affiliate disclosure. Picknames also shows ads from third parties, which are their advertisers' responsibility.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep Picknames running and the draw fair, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be online, free of errors, or that data will never be lost. Keep anything important, like a wishlist you spent an evening on, somewhere else too.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Collapse LLC isn't liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Picknames, including lost or late gifts, purchases made through other stores, or a spoiled surprise. Because the service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to $50. Some places don't allow these limits, and then they apply only as far as allowed.

Changes

We may change Picknames, or these terms, at any time. When we change the terms we'll update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Picknames after that, the new terms apply.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of the country you live in says otherwise.
